Training

The LGBTQ Parenting Network offers educational workshops, trainings, lectures and consultations on LGBTQ parenting. We assist organizations to improve accessibility and quality of services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer parents and their children in Ontario.

We design trainings to meet participants needs. Our approach to education emphasizes participation, reflection, and interactive learning. We often incorporate the findings of community-based research.

Professional Development

Workshops, trainings and consultations for professionals and students in medicine, nursing, social work, midwifery, education, public health and related fields.

Academic Presentations

Guest lectures to students in sociology, education, gender and sexuality studies, family studies and related field.

LGBTQ Parents & Prospective Parents

Workshops are developed to meet the needs and interests of participants and can explore practical, emotional, social, and legal parenting issues. Our most popular program are the LGBTQ Family Planning Courses, which are offered in partnership with The 519.
